Mother Dairy's full cream milk and token milk have become costlier in Delhi-NCR from today. While the price of full cream milk has been increased by Re 1 per litre, tokenized milk has become costlier by Rs 2 per litre. On Sunday, the company announced a price hike citing rising costs.

According to the new prices, the price of full cream milk has increased from Rs 63 per liter to Rs 64 per liter from Monday. However, the company has not changed the prices of full cream milk sold in 500 ml packs. Along with this, token milk (milk sold in bulk) will now be available at Rs 50 per liter instead of Rs 48 per litre.

Mother Dairy is the largest milk supplier in Delhi-NCR. According to a report, she sells more than 30 lakh liters of milk every day through packets and vending machines. Mother Dairy company has 9 processing plants. Let us tell you that the production of milk in India is about 210 million tonnes on an annual basis. The company has hundreds of milk booths and Safal retail outlets in Delhi-NCR.

After Mother Dairy has once again made its milk expensive, it has also increased the possibility that other companies may also increase the price of milk. Something similar was seen in the month of last October as well. After the increase in the price of Amul milk, Mother Dairy also increased the prices. This is the fourth time in the year 2022 that the company has increased the prices of milk. Earlier on October 16 last month, Mother Dairy had increased the prices of full cream and cow's milk variants by Rs 2 per litre.

The price hike was announced by Mother Dairy on Sunday. A company spokesperson had said that the decision has been taken due to the increase in the cost of procuring raw milk from dairy farmers. “This year, the entire dairy industry is witnessing a huge gap between the demand and supply of milk,” he added. Rising cost of feed and fodder and erratic monsoon have put pressure on raw milk prices, affecting availability.
